Hey, we're on time tonight! Kinda! I promise we'll (try) to be on time next week, too. We've gotten a huge chunk of work done and we're finishing up a big BN-related thing, which will be a HUGE weight off of our shoulders. Soon, we'll be able to throw off all these weights and get back to fighting at MAXIMUM POWER. But until then, work work work.
So, our family trip! It was great! It was hot, humid, filled with mosquito bites and sun burns, and completely exhausting, but it was great! Leslie's parents had an amazing week planned for us, beginning with a live possum that her dad trapped just before we got there and ending with one of the most amazing seafood buffets we've ever had. Seriously, the entire week was filled with buffets. Chinese buffets, sushi buffets, seafood buffets. We missed Loisiana's food, but after a week and several hundred pounds of it, I think we're good to take a break from their food for another year. I even got the Cane's that I so desperately longed for!
We also hit a lot of fun New Orleans spots over the week: the aquarium, the Imax, the zoo, the insectarium, the art museum. We visited my own family and hit up a nice restaurant, we saw some friends, we watched some bad movies...it was a lot of fun! Leslie's family is really great, and we're going to miss them again. I hope we can go down again soon!
That said, it's nice to be back home. We've got work to do! See you on Wednesday!
