Sorry, no review today. Haven't been playing any new games recently, just working with Leslie on RC stuff and playing games I already own that you already know my opinions about (MGSV). I HAVE been playing the Metal Gear Online today, though, and like MGS, I've always been a fan of MGO. Metal Gear Solid 3 and 4 had some of my favorite online multiplayer I've ever played. Does the new MGO hold up to my high standards? Eh. It's alright. It's a slow burn, with a lot of the fun stuff locked behind level unlocks (as new gaming standards dictates), but what's there is pretty unique and fun. I love their take on death match with the high-risk-high-reward aspect of trying to fulton enemies alive rather than killing them where they stand. The Cloak and Dagger mode is intense as hell (though I wish the defending team didn't have stealth camo like the sneaking team, where's the logic in that?), and capture the point is...well, capture the point, it works just like every other game that has that mode. There's some major problems with lag, connection issues, and just getting into a fucking game, but once you're in, it's pretty solid. I'm certainly liking it more than MGSV itself, and oddly enough, it feels like it had more love put into it with its robust selection of classic tunes and wackier items. There's a wormhole that works on the power of friendship and plush puppy toys to distract enemies. THAT'S the MGS fun I've been missing.

That's all for now, though. SEE YOU ON FRIDAY
