This is a good place to end a webcomic, isn't it?
YEAH, DIDN'T THINK SO. Don't worry, Blaster Nation isn't ending, but our chapter format is! We'd like to thank you all for helping us make one the most popular chapters in Blaster Nation history, as well as Freeglass for inking damn near every page in this chapter! I'm so glad we could keep you guys invested in us, even as we explored the life of a grumpy old man and his emotionally distant son. However, this was also easily our longest chapter ever, clocking in at around 90 pages and taking ten months to complete. That's a little ridiculous! I think Blaster Nation's current chapter-by-chapter is holding it back quite a bit. I know people would like us to return to other characters way sooner than we could, so I think the best solution would be to get rid of long chapters altogether.
Instead, Blaster Nation will convert to a more typical webcomic style so we can jump from character to character a bit more quickly. We'll still be telling stories, you'll still get all the character development, arcs, and shenanigans you've come to expect from us, but they'll be much smaller, more condensed. We've come to a point in Blaster Nation where almost every character has something they've wanted or needed. Matt has moved out, Rinnie has a job, Ash has Rinnie, Derrick and Melissa are dating, Hai's got his radio DJ job...this new format gives the characters a bit more room to enjoy this peace they've earned and see what comes from it, without you guys being stuck to one particular set of characters for months on end.
So, you're probably wondering, what can you expect now? Starting Friday, we'll be doing a small series of Blaster Nation Halloween comics until Halloween (as well as the infamous Brimstone Nation Halloween Synchtube, launching Oct. 30th). Then after that, we've got a small buffer of comics to post starring Dan, Kim, Rinnie, and a special guest! Best part is? Starting November, Blaster Nation's going back to THREE UPDATES A WEEK! There's still a lot more Blaster Nation coming up and we still have plenty of stories to tell, so stay tuned!
